Mongolians receive awards at int’l vocal contest
The singers O.Khurelbaatar and Ch.Badral have received the second Premium Prize of the 25th International Vocal Contest named after Russian composer M.I.Glinka, which took place December 9-19 in Moscow of Russia.
Another Mongolian D.Bat-Erdene has been given the contest’s diploma alongside D.Grigoriev, V.Berzhanskaya, N.Kuchina, A.Fedorova (Russia) and D.Saduakhasov (Kazakhstan).
This year’s contest brought together 215 singers from Mongolia, Russia, Armenia, Belarus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldavia, North Korea, Spain, Ukraine and the USA. Mongolia was represented by 20.
The first Premium Prize went to Russians V.Dytyuk and Yu.Yashkulova. The Second Premium Prize holder our Ch.Badral also received a special prize for the best performance from Sergei Rachmaninoff pieces.
In the previous contest, two Mongolians G.Ariunbaatar and E.Ankhbayar have won both the First and Second Premium Prizes.
