Mongolia is one of the countries where Buddhism spread. Before the communist dictatorship, there 700-900 monasteries in Mongolia.

The Mongolian people’s friendly and kindness characters were originated in another aspects from discipline of the monasteries in Mongolia. There were Barkhan publishing division at all monasteries published not only Buddha’s sutras also all books and papers. The monasteries and temples engaged in different activities such in medicine and Buddha teaching etc... For example: were 86 “Mamba” temples for medicine and medical treatment and 106 monasteries had Mambe temples.
