Mongolia has thousands of species of flowers.  Due to the country’s high altitude, many alpine varieties of flowers grow in the Mongolian wilderness.  Edelweiss is one of the most famous flowers and is commonly used in folk medicine.  Khustai National Park offers more than 100 species of flowers in a short period. The fen logy period is May 10 - August 20.  The best time to see many flowers is June10 - July 20. During this period, you can see nearly 50 species of flowers.  From July 20 to August 20, you can see about 30 species of flowers.  You can also see wild animals such as the Przewalski horse, red deer, marmot, and many birds.  Terelj National Park is also famous for its beautiful flowers in late spring and summer. The most popular flowers in Terelj are Prickly Rose, Meadow Row, Red Lousewort, Purple Pasque, Siberian Columbine, Asian Globe and Wooly Anemone

Day 1: Ulaanbaatar City

Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and transfer to your hotel.  Our team will take you on a city tour which will include Sukhbaatar Square, Gandan Monastery, Migjid Janraiseg Statue, and the Museum of Natural History.  Enjoy a cultural performance before dinner.

Day 2: Khustai National Park

After breakfast, we will drive to Khustai National Park.   Visit a nomadic family where you can taste national dairy products.  Horse riding can be arranged upon request.   Trekking and exploring the local area will provide many photo opportunities.  Dinner will be served at the camp.  Visit the mountain pastures where the Takhi, the Asian wild horse better known as the Przewalski horse, can be seen grazing.

Day 3: Moilt Valley

Today we will take a field trip to the Moilt Valley (10km by car and 10 km hiking). You will see between 20 and 50 species of wild flower. You will also see Przewalski horses, red deer, and many species of birds. We will stay at a ger camp in the Moilt Valley.

Day 4: Moilt Valley

Our field trip will continue with a hike to the Deer Stone. It is about 7 km from our camp.  We will then drive to Ungot Grave and enjoy a picnic in the beautiful scenery.  Before returning to the ger camp, we will visit a nomadic family where you can experience first hand the nomadic Mongolian lifestyle.

Day 5: Terelj National Park

Today we will drive to Terelj National Park.  On the way, we will have lunch in Ulaanbaatar City.  Terelj National Park is famous for its stunning granite rock formations, beautiful natural scenery, and flowing streams.  We will enjoy a peaceful, starry night in this beautiful valley.

Day 6: Terelj National Park

In the morning, we will explore the spectacular valley with its hundreds of species of flowers and plants.  In the afternoon, we will tour Aryabal Monastery which is located on top of a hill with panoramic views of the valley. Day 7: Ulaanbaatar City

Today we will return to Ulaanbaatar City. We will visit Zaisan Memorial Hill and the Bogd Khaan Winter Palace Museum before enjoy a farewell dinner.
