Day 1. Ulaanbaatar

Our team will meet you at the “Chinggis Khan” international airport and transfer to the hotel in the city. After rest, we will start our city tour starting from the Sukhbaatar square. This square is a spirit of the capital and famous for its surroundings including Parliament House, National Opera Theatre, Cultural Palace and House of City Council.  Then we will visit Zaisan Hill that provides wide open view of the Ulaanbaatar. Visit in the Museum of Natural History which is well-known for its precious findings Dinosaur eggs and bones. We will end our day with traditional performance of folk songs, throat singing, horse-headed fiddle, ethnic dances and arty contortion. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 2. Amarbayasgalant Monastery

After breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to Amarbayasgalant monastery. The monastery was established in the early 17th century and the second largest and most important monastery in Mongolia. The monastery was built by the second Qing Emperor Yongzheng for the remains of Mongolia’s first Bogd Gegeen Zanabazar whose remains were moved into one of the temples in 1779, 56 years after his death.  Amarbayasgalant Monastery is considered as one the most magnificent architectural monuments in Mongolia and whole Asia.

Day 3. Bulgan province

Today we will continue our journey towards Khuvsgul Lake. We will spend a night in Bulgan Province, on the banks of Selenge river.

Day 4-6. Khuvsgul lake

This is the second largest fresh water lake in Central Asia.  The water surface covers 2,760 sq km.  It is situated at an altitude of 1645 meters above sea level, has a length of 132 km and a width in the greatest place up to 36 km, the depth is up to 262 meters. The lake has very clear water; it has an unusual blue color in different tones. In some places, the visibility reaches 50 meters. Even in bad weather you can see up to 15-20 meters deep. The water has a large silicon and mineral composition.  It is a huge lake of clean drinkable water. The banks and bed of the lake vary from stone to pebbles and sand.

Day 7. Ulaanbaatar city

Today we will drive to Murun to catch our flight back to Ulaanbaatar. From the airport we will directly drive to HIS Khaan resort, luxurious ger camp which is located 50km west from Ulaanbaatar.  The camp has gers with floor to ceiling windows and hot tubs overlooking the endless grasslands.  Enjoy a full body massage in your suite and a delicious farewell dinner.
